<div class=""><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span lang="EN-GB" class=""><b class="">Call For Applications for New Postgraduate Programme at Stellenbosch University</b></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"><span lang="EN-GB" class=""><b class="">Transdisciplinary Health and Development Studies</b><o:p class=""></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal">The Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology at Stellenbosch University, in collaboration with the Department of Interdisciplinary Health Sciences (Division of Community Health), invites applications for two new postgraduate degree
programmes in Transdisciplinary Health and Development Studies: a postgraduate diploma and an MPhil degree (by thesis or by coursework).</p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB" class="">We invite students from a range of disciplinary and professional backgrounds, including social science, health, development, and policy, who are interested in gaining a strong conceptual foundation and applied
research experience and skills to engage critically with health and development challenges.<o:p class=""></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB" class=""> </span>The Postgraduate Diploma prepares students for professional work or further academic study through a core set of required modules, combined with a series of methodological and topical electives and a
short research assignment. The MPhil (by coursework or by thesis) will benefit researchers, planners and policy analysts in government and civil society seeking to strengthen their analytical and research skills as well as gain a transdisciplinary perspective
on health and development.</p><p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB" class=""> </span>Bursaries are available for students applying to the MPhil degree. Details can be found on our website. <span lang="EN-GB" class=""> </span>Applications are welcome until 10 January 2015. Bursary applications
