The Society for the Social Studies of Science (4S) is looking for graduate
students, postdocs, or junior scholars from/based in the Global South
(especially Africa, South America, Middle East and South East Asia) and the
Global North who can contribute as *Assistant* *Editors *in the global
4S Backchannels

* editorial team*. Backchannels publishes four times per month. The person
will be expected to share and disseminate STS news from/about the
geographical areas in the form of short academic writings. Besides some
editorial skills, the assistant editor will encourage potential authors to
contribute with their works. The assistant editor will assist the
collection, editing, and publication of the writings in Backchannels. This
is an opportunity to *become part of a collaborative network*, that works
voluntarily and with an excellent academic group, to become familiar with
editorial tasks, and to get to know the STS community around the world. We
are looking for someone interested in being in this position for at least
two years.
