*4S Backchannels blog seeks Assistant Editor*

The Society for the Social Studies of Science (4S)
<https://www.4sonline.org/> is looking for an STS graduate student,
postdoc or junior scholar from/based in the Global South (especially
Africa, Middle East, Asia) and the Global North (Australia,
Europe, New Zealand, North America) who can contribute as a *co-editor in
the *4S Backchannels
<https://www.4sonline.org/4s-publications/backchannels/>* editorial team*.
Each Backchannels team publishes twice per month.

The person will be expected to share and disseminate STS news from/about
the geographical areas in the form of short academic writings. Besides some
editorial skills, the co-editor will encourage potential authors
to contribute with their works. The co-editor will assist the collection,
editing and publication of the writings in Backchannels.

This is an opportunity to become part of a collaborative network, that
works voluntarily and with an excellent academic group, to become familiar
with editorial tasks, and to get to know the STS community around
the world. We are looking for someone interested in being in this position
for at least two years.

If you are interested, please send *a short CV* and *a cover letter* expressing
your interest to backchannels at 4sonline.org by *20th November 2021*.

Please also kindly share with your graduate programs and on social media.
