Hi Keval
My UCT colleagues and I working on the isiXhosa Intellectual Traditions digital collection are available to participate in the suggested online meeting.
Be well.
Jacques

Subject: [Afridig] Statement of solidarity with UCT?

Dear all

I’m not sure if there is a central database of South Africa archive institutions but I’m wondering if there is a way for us to put out a joint statement as a way of showing solidarity for our colleagues at UCT and to take this opportunity to speak about the value and importance of preserving archives for the greater benefit of all South Africans?

I don’t mean to sound opportunistic but I believe that this is an important moment for us to reflect on why archives matter and why providing support and resources to our archive institutions is critical.

Perhaps we could arrange a brief online meeting for those of us interested in putting out something?

Kind regards,

Keval
