[Afridig] Basics for the Afridig workshop next week

Dear colleagues,

If you have indicated that you will be attending the workshop next week,
you''ll probably want to know some of the basics.

The venue will be at WISER on the 6th Floor of the Richard Ward building on
the East Campus.  Some detail on getting to us here:

We will begin with preliminaries at 9:30am on Thursday, March 7, and
conclude by 4pm on Friday, March 8.  A more detailed schedule will be
distributed in the next day or two.

The easiest way to access the campus is by Uber.  If you are flying into
Joburg, that's probably also the easiest and cheapest method, especially if
you are sharing with someone.  Parking is very difficult at Wits, and we
cannot hold spaces for you (sadly).

If you have *already* indicated that you want us to book you a room we will
be in contact with the details.  Please do not ask now, as we do not have
the administrative capacity to arrange any further bookings.  Likewise
(only more so) for flights.  We have to ask you to arrange your own travel
and accommodation if you've not yet done so.   Please do, however, let us
know if you're coming so that we can sort out the catering.

WIFI Wits does provide Eduroam access but it is currently patchy.  We will
endeavour to provide wireless access for you, but please indicate to
Bulelani (afdhumanities at gmail.com) if this is important for you.
